I have to disagree with the approach and argument for vocational schools. As a young Dominican I feel that too often we are encouraged to aspire to become blue collar workers. It almost seems to say that blue collar jobs are as good as it will get for us. I understand the types of positions mentioned in your list are probably always in need, but to make this statement and NOT make a bigger push for higher professional positions seems like a lack of confidence in our abilities to become the future lawyers, doctors, engineers, and (more) highly skilled workers. Why aren't we encouraging our young people to go further than vocational schools, or community colleges? At this point we are all aware of the quality of life benefits of receiving more education and I think we should hold our young people to higher standards that blue collar positions, as much as I appreciate the work our health care services workers and paralegals do, I would much rather encourage young people to become doctors and lawyers. Good luck Manny, I hope you take my comments into consideration.

Do i remember Velasquez? "Ofcourse I remember Velazquez, he was my junior high school professor. Better than him, only God." Velasquez was the person you were and are able to call for anything. He knows what to do to solve any problems. He helps everyone in need and is very generous. If Manny Velasquez wins our community would become one of the greatest communities out there. A reason for this fact, he'll help the young, the elder, not to forget to mention that he knows about 99.9 percent of the young adults in these neighborhoods. Good Luck Mr. Velasquez be sure you'll receive my vote and my entire family. All my friends will hear about this we will all vote. Que Dios te bendiga y te proteja en todo tu camino.
